Marketing Internship
This job provided me with the opportunity to acquire valuable skills while expanding the customer base of a small cleaning business. I created social media and physical marketing materials to grow awareness. I had the opportunity to pitch community partnership ideas and implement them. I also made up to 40 cold calls a week giving me experience in sales.

Writing Job
Through my job with The Daily Emerald, I wrote over 10 articles for the special sections published in Duck Living Magazine. I brainstormed concepts for the pieces and collaborated with an editor and photographer to create a shared creative vision. This job enhanced my ability to pitch story ideas, collaborate effectively, and create a comprehensive piece from concept to completion.

Public Relations Campaign
I worked on a team to create a public relations campaign for a science podcast. We made a strategic plan on how to grow the podcast’s reach and awareness through different communication channels. I led the development of the strategies for our plan. Along with this, I collaborated on editing our plan and deciding on our main goals and objectives.

Awareness Campaign
Our team was tasked with conducting primary research and using the design thinking strategy to develop an awareness campaign. I worked as a strategist and copywriter on this project. Our aim was to raise awareness for the impact on mental health that looking for a job has on students and recent graduates. We did this by designing a poster campaign that aims to help college students feel less alone in their struggles to find a job.

Copy Writing
I work on a team of four to develop an idea to improve downtown spaces in Eugene, OR. My main role on this team was as the copywriter. I wrote and edited our final deck. I also collaborated to create strategies for our idea. Our team was one of four chosen, out of over 30 teams, to present our work to industry professionals.

Social Media Plan
I collaborated with a team to create a social media plan for a motivational speaker that aimed to help companies with employee relationships. We worked for our client by creating an in-depth social media plan to improve reach and engagement across platforms. We conducted a data analysis of all social media channels and created an eight week content calendar.

Personal Blog Posts
I have always loved to write. A couple of subjects I’m passionate about are the intersection between communications and sustainability and health and wellness. This is showcased in most of the blog posts that I’ve written.

Independent Research
In my masters program I have gotten the opportunity to do in depth research on communication topics that interest me most. This research on the emerging green hushing trend concluded in a white paper. This paper includes background research and a section on the best practices for businesses sustainability communications.
